Karoi Town Council is a local authority situated in Mashonaland West Province, Central Northern Zimbabwe. It is located approximately 85km by road, North-West of Chinhoi, the Provincial Capital. It lies 204km North-West of Harare along the Harare - Chirundu Highway (A1). The nature of economy for Karoi is largely agrarian. The surrounding countryside is farmland where tobacco and maize are primary cash crops.
The 2012 National Population Census Report for Karoi stood at 28 606 residents. The town is divided into ten wards. The town is administered by Karoi Town Council which comprises of ten elected ward Councillors, who in the discharge of their Constitutional mandate, are assisted by Council management and staff.
